The strength of the corrupt & the criminal comes from the very fact that the good & the decent are afraid of dirtying their linen. However, this dirtying could at times be harmless & sometimes it could be blood red. But then so was the freedom movement.

The very freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives or gave up their cushy jobs or their comforts for the sole purpose & aim of attaining freedom did just that. Some like the father of our nation took to peaceful protests while the others took the law unto their own hands either thru a direct Face Off or thru Guerilla tactics.

Today, the society has been criminalized to such an extent that if your car is hit by a reckless driver & you object to it, there is every possibility that the errant driver may whip out a gun or whip out a knife & stab you……

The immediate fall out of this situation is that we have assumed & inferred that it is more practical to avoid such scenes if at all anything of this sort happens. This has in turn made us gradually indifferent to the evils happening in our society around us so much so that we tend to feign ignorance even if there was a murder next door.

Then if there is a rape somewhere it is just a mere news item for us as (1) we are used to such news on a daily basis (2) The life that was raped is not from our home.

This is applicable to all crimes happening around us. Be it scams by powerful politicians, electricity theft happening rampantly in collusion with the electricity line man across the country, fake encounters, murders, entrapment thru fake stings or otherwise, mass murder of the dalits or the lower caste.. etc……

So is the case with millions of us who wade thru newspapers & various news channels. Crime on a stranger or my neighbour is no longer a crime for me & it doesn’t move me either as I or my family members remain unaffected.

But don’t you think the same dreaded cowardice thinking could affect you more severely as crime doesn’t knock & come & it has no face and God forbid if your neighbour thinks the same way as you think today………………… Hence I call all of you….please ........................ JAGO…..

LET US ALL WAKE UP & CONSIDER THE WHOLE SOCIETY AS ONE FAMILY...

Let us all feel the pinch when any citizen is affected… or hurt… Let us all be responsible citizens & prove to ourselves that we are not cowards but we are all “JAGRUK INDIANS”.
